Was disappointed in my service today. online order placed 1138, estimated pick up at 1158. Got there at 1155 to pick up food, and didn't get food until 1222. When sandwiches were finally ready, staff did not drop any fries ahead of time, so additional wait time for fries. Then, staff were filling other orders and forgot to get my fries so I waited longer. Hot subs were not hot. Cheese had already cooled off completely on the subs. Very disappointed. Paid 30 bucks for 2 full subs and a cheese fry with a tip for the staff.
Still one of the best places around! The Al Capone is the best! Service was a little slow and the cashier seemed like she would rather be somewhere else but hat doesn't matter as the food is why I go there.
As a Realtor in Algonquin I love this place. I always recommend that my clients come here for a nice date night. Great food great location great atmosphere. Always recommend this fun spot. After my clients buy or sell, I’d like to get them a gift card here.
Algonquin Sub Shop is always top notch! The Al Capone is by far my favorite sub on the menu. The food is fresh and made to order with quality ingredients. The staff is always courteous and welcoming. You also can't go wrong with the home made chili and soups!
Such a good experience at this shop. I am not the type to leave reviews but me and my boyfriend went in today and each got a sub. I got a #6 “the veggie” and my boyfriend got a #7 “Italian veggie” (my boyfriend is vegetarian and I don’t always want meat) both our sandwiches were DELICIOUS. So full of flavor and you can tell the ingredients are good and fresh. The customer service was very good too ! They are very friendly there. It smelled amazing when you walk in, feels clean in there. Overall an amazing place with delicious food. And I’d like to point out that they have 4 different vegetarian subs. That’s pretty awesome ! 👏🏻👏🏻 definitely have to try this place out if you have the chance.
Food is great. Prices are good.
But when my family and I come into the restaurant 30 minutes before closing and there are already chairs up on the tables and we ask if we can dine in and the woman there ROLLS HER EYES AT US and says, “I guess but we close at 6” (in 30 minutes) that is a horrid way to speak to your customer. I know you want to go home at 6. But you are open until 6

My son and I are 100% addicted to this place! Lucky for us, it is 5 minutes from our house and also half way between the home and the office for me. I have never had a bad experience out of the countless times I've ordered from the Algonquin Sub Shop. The staff is very friendly. I will continue to grab lunch here at least a couple times a week.
Plain ol' sub shop, which has gotten outrageously expensive for a sandwich shop.
